use of wide-character constants requires /ms_ext or /c_ext Wide-character constants are a Microsoft extension to DCE IDL. To use the data type wchar_t , you cannot compile with the /osf switch, which overrides the MIDL compiler default switches /ms_ext and /c_ext .
